River Bend Film Festival 2019 -May 2-4, 2019 – Goshen, Indiana


Come join the River Bend Film Festival as it celebrates it’s 16th year of showcasing independent cinema from around the globe – Thursday, May 2 to Saturday, May 4 in beautiful downtown Goshen. During May First Fridays, enjoy a taste of the film festival with free activities in downtown businesses including receptions with filmmakers, short films, workshops, music, and more!

The Indiana Filmmakers Network will be in attendance, sitting on panels, and networking!

Thursday, May 2 | 6 – midnight
The festival kicks off with an opening reception for filmmakers at 6 p.m. After mingling with filmmakers, enjoy an evening of cinematic entertainment including both short and feature-length independent films.

Friday, May 3 | 10 a.m. – midnight
Workshops, short films, receptions, and music fill the day with ample opportunities to enjoy great cinematography and learn about filmmaking.

Saturday, May 4 | 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Goshen packs as much filmmaking as possible into this final day of the festival. Demonstrations, workshops, music, awards, and of course, films, conclude the event.

International Mobile Film Festival -April 27-28, 2019 – San Diego, California


The Indiana Filmmakers Network has partnered with the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego, California – IFN president, Nathan Bechtold will be in attendance helping with panels, promoting Hoosier based films, and presenting our submissions from the IFN Three Minutes or Less Mobile Film Challenge.

The International Mobile Film Festival, a pioneer in the smartphone filmmaking industry, is celebrating its 10 Year Anniversary and will be held Saturday, April 27th and Sunday, April 28th at the lovely Marina Village – San Diego’s Premier Conference Center.

The Victory International Film Festival -September 12-14, 2019 – Evansville, Indiana

The Victory International Film Festival will be held from September 12-14 in Evansville, Indiana. Our mission for attendees is to provide a fun and engaging experience that celebrates film and the community of Evansville. Filmmakers will enjoy our $3500 in prizes and the opportunity to have their films screen in venues across our revitalized downtown district.

The opening gala will be held at the historic Victory Theatre, a 1900 seat facility built in 1921 in the heart of the city, on Thursday evening. On Friday and Saturday attendees will view films from around the region, the country, and the world. Venues include the Old National Public Theatre, Innovation Pointe, and the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana.

Showcasing films that might not otherwise have an opportunity to screen in the Evansville, Indiana market. Hoping to educate and entertain filmmakers and students by presenting workshops, screenings, and other opportunities to meet and network with others in the industry and to bring an audience to those films.Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to restoring the original sign that used to hang on the Victory at the corner of NW 6th Street & Main.

Heartland International Film Festival and Indy Shorts International Film Festival Open 2019 Call for Entries

Indy Shorts International Film Festival is an Academy Award®-qualifying film festival in both the Live Action and Documentary short film categories, solely focused on the art of shorts films, 40 minutes or shorter in length.

Indy Shorts will be hosted at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. The winners of Indy Shorts will earn the right to encore screenings at the feature-focused Heartland International Film Festival in October. All eligible Indiana Spotlight filmmakers can submit for free now through the early-bird deadline and after that fees are half that of the standard submission prices!

The Heartland International Film Festival invites feature-length (41 minutes+) narrative, documentary, and animated films to officially submit for programming consideration, now through early-July at FilmFreeway.com and Withoutabox.com.

Short films can be submitted for consideration to Indy Shorts now through early-May exclusively via submitt.

Circle City Film Festival – September 27th-29th, 2018

First Annual Circle City Film Fest is “Designed with Indies in Mind,” the CCFF emerges as a platform designed to promote diversity through the art of independent film. Our goal is to encourage the development of creative arts throughout Indiana and the Midwest. The inaugural Circle City Film Festival celebrates the art of filmmaking with film screenings, informative panels, workshops, awards, and amazing networking opportunities. IFN board members will be among many outstanding individuals on the “Actor Workshop”, “Women in Media”  panel, and “Monologue Competition” on Friday, September 28th and part of the “Actor’s Roundtable” and “Art of Filmmaking” panel, Saturday, September 29th. Plus many IFN members and representatives will be showing their films, sitting on panels, and making their way around this fabulous three-day event in Indianapolis’s Southside at the Georgetown Cinemas.

Hoosierdance International Film Festival -September 13th-15th, 2018

The Fourth Annual event in Kokomo, Indiana, takes its final bow featuring 40+ films from across Indiana and the World.
This small Indiana Film Festival has continued to be an active contributor in Howard County, bringing attention to Film and the Cinematic Arts in Downtown Kokomo, Indiana.
IFN will be in attendance to bid farewell to those at “Film For Thought”, on all their hard work over the past four years.

Indiana Film Race is a unique production experience made into a competition of filmmakers creating stories that they will have to film in 5 select counties in West Central Indiana. There will be 3 teams, filming over 5 days in those select counties, a race to produce the best short film with a grand prize of $10,000.

FILM 765, LLC is proud to introduce an original reality-based film race that will spotlight three filmmaking teams that will have five days to shoot a short film (10-15 minutes including credits), as they travel through five counties in West Central Indiana, focusing on selected areas approved by each county through their Visitor’s Centers, Indiana Tourism, and Film Indiana. The purpose of this competition is two-fold — The primary goal is to promote movie making in Indiana by exposing our viewers to the incredible destination locations available for film production in Indiana. The second is to showcase film talent to our viewers via a television distribution agreement.
