- Submission of official signing agreement for all board members
- Discussion on IFN website and making if work better

- Insuring in cataloging all financial contributions
- Formal election of State Board: Nathan Bechtold (President), Jarrod Moschner (Treasury) and James Wallace Jr (Secretary). Responsibilities of Secretary being rearranged, including communications. Redefined at a later meeting.

- Delaying the formation of various committees (Grants, Communication, etc) with the exception for the Steering Committee) til Q3
- Going over a list in the assurance of all PayPal receipts
- Issues about creating facebook pages in connection with IFN

Indy Shorts International Film Festival is an Academy Award®-qualifying film festival in both the Live Action and Documentary short film categories, solely focused on the art of shorts films, 40 minutes or shorter in length.
Indy Shorts will be hosted at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. The winners of Indy Shorts will earn the right to encore screenings at the feature-focused Heartland International Film Festival in October. All eligible Indiana Spotlight filmmakers can submit for free now through the early-bird deadline and after that fees are half that of the standard submission prices!
The Heartland International Film Festival invites feature-length (41 minutes+) narrative, documentary, and animated films to officially submit for programming consideration, now through early-July at FilmFreeway.com and Withoutabox.com.
Short films can be submitted for consideration to Indy Shorts now through early-May exclusively via submitt.
The Fourth Annual event in Kokomo, Indiana, takes its final bow featuring 40+ films from across Indiana and the World.
This small Indiana Film Festival has continued to be an active contributor in Howard County, bringing attention to Film and the Cinematic Arts in Downtown Kokomo, Indiana.
IFN will be in attendance to bid farewell to those at “Film For Thought”, on all their hard work over the past four years.

3 TEAMS, 5 DAYS OF FILMING, 1 WINNER – Sept 26
Indiana Film Race is a unique production experience made into a competition of filmmakers creating stories that they will have to film in 5 select counties in West Central Indiana. There will be 3 teams, filming over 5 days in those select counties, a race to produce the best short film with a grand prize of $10,000.
FILM 765, LLC is proud to introduce an original reality-based film race that will spotlight three filmmaking teams that will have five days to shoot a short film (10-15 minutes including credits), as they travel through five counties in West Central Indiana, focusing on selected areas approved by each county through their Visitor’s Centers, Indiana Tourism, and Film Indiana. The purpose of this competition is two-fold — The primary goal is to promote movie making in Indiana by exposing our viewers to the incredible destination locations available for film production in Indiana. The second is to showcase film talent to our viewers via a television distribution agreement.

IFN will be presenting at the Carmel Film Forum.
The 2018 Carmel Film Forum: Focus On Filmmaking will feature screenwriting workshops designed to develop screenwriting skills for writers at any skill level. The workshop will be held at the Carmel Clay Public Library, 55 4th Ave SE, Carmel, IN 46032. The events will take place over the course of two weekends, August 4, 2018 and August 11, 2018, allowing ample time for writers to learn format, receive and complete a simple assignment, receive feedback and polish the assignment for performance.
