Get ready to give you and your career a powerful boost!
Indiana Filmmakers Network Inc. is offering you an amazing opportunity to learn and grow as a filmmaker… We want to send you on an international adventure that will give your career a powerful boost. Be part of Summer Media Studio (SMS) — an educational and job readiness opportunity for filmmakers in Europe. Begun by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and Audiovisual Arts Industry Incubator in 1997, SMS is an exceptional film camp that takes place on the Baltic Sea Coast of Lithuania.
In 2018 — for the first time — filmmakers from the USA will have the opportunity to travel to Europe to participate in this program. You can check out the 2017 program here. If you are at least 18 years of age, you can apply for the opportunity to join SMS as a resident filmmaker. We have 12 slots available for the low cost of $2,900/person. This includes: travel from Indianapolis to O’Hare, international airfare, transportation in Lithuania, SMS tuition, and room & board.
Jonathan Tammuz — the director of RUPERT’S LAND, MINOTAUR and the Oscar nominated THE CHILDEATER — will be one of the SMS tutors. Tammuz and other staff will guide SMS participants as they divide into groups to make a film. The final night films will be screened and awards presented. You will go home with credit on a film made in Europe!
